Ondix Independent Content Provider Frequently Asked Questions
|
Who sets the sell price for my submitted e-goods?
You may set the lowest price that you will accept for your work.
However, the Community Manager may increase the asking price
if he/she feels your work will sell at the higher price, but
this rarely occurs.
What is the Provider agreement I have to agree to in order
to submit my work?
Before you can submit e-goods to Ondix, you must accept
the Provider agreement. The agreement states that your arrangement
with Ondix is non-exclusive, meaning that you can sell
your work elsewhere without infringing on your agreement with
Ondix, and that Ondix agrees to pay you a 50% royalty
per purchase of your submission with no up front guarantee.
What are Ondix's submission guidelines?
See Ondix's Community Code of Conduct and Terms of Use.
You are legally and ethically responsible for any e-goods you
submit to the site and for any resulting consequences. Ondix
prohibits the submission of e-goods that infringe on any US
patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, right to privacy,
right to publicity, or any other applicable law or proprietary
right.
By submitting e-goods to the site, you are stating that you
own the proprietary rights to the content and that you agree
to allow Ondix to post it to their public site; or that
the proper usage rights of the material have been granted to
you by the owner and it can legally be used by Ondix.
How and when will I receive the Royalty Payments for my submitted
e-goods?
Ondix sends royalty checks (or credits your account) quarterly
throughout the year. You can see how much royalties you have
earned by checking the E-goods Status Check, Revenue Report
found on the 'My Account' page.
How will Ondix protect my submitted work from illegal distribution?
All users of Ondix are responsible and liable for the legal
and ethical maintenance of e-goods once they have been purchased,
viewed and/or downloaded to their personal computer. All e-goods
placed on Ondix are protected under the proprietary rights
of their owners or creators. Users who purchase the digital
e-goods may not violate these proprietary rights through the
reproduction, duplication or distribution of the items. Users
found to have violated these proprietary rights shall be prosecuted
to the fullest extent of the law.

Why do my submitted e-goods have to go through an approval process
before they can be posted to Ondix?
The reasons are twofold. First, you have undoubtedly discovered
by now that the communites hosted here are highly relavent to
your interests and that the content you download is of high
quality making this site content-driven and valuable to you.
This is all due to the efforts of the Manager of your community
who is an expert on the community's topic. Without his or her
involvement in selecting the best, most appropriate content,
his or her community would quickly fill up with irrelevent,
random content eventually lowering the value of the site. Putting
your submission through this approval process gives the Community
Manager an opportunity to decide if your contribution will add
or detract from the community he or she has worked hard to build.
Second, Ondix feels that the approval process is necessary
to ensure that all posted e-goods comply with our Community
Code of Conduct and Terms of Use. This approval process is not
only for the protection of potential viewers of your e-goods,
but for your own protection as well. Ondix's Community
Managers are trained in the legal uses of copyrights, trademarks,
images of public and private figures and more. By stopping an
infringement of a proprietary law before it gets published,
our Community Manager may save you a great deal of headache.
What is Ondix's distribution policy for submitted e-goods?
The majority of the e-goods on Ondix will be licensed for
personal use only. Re-distribution, public exhibition, etc.
will not be granted. There is a possibility that the e-goods
may be used in a commercial setting. In that case, Ondix
will allow for re-distribution, but not for re-sale in its individual,
original form.
What does "Bundled" mean?
In order to create a better value for Ondix customers,
Community Managers might decide to combine various e-goods into
one 'bundled' package. The bundled e-goods will be sold together
at one set price. You may choose whether or not you will allow
your submitted e-goods to be bundled with other submissions.
